According to reports from Collider, Steven Caple Jr. has officially signed on to direct ‘I Am Legend 2’ for Warner Bros. Known for helming ‘Creed II’ and ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,’ Capel stepping into the post-apocalyptic world is already turning heads.

But here’s the real kicker…

The sequel will follow the film’s alternate ending, not the theatrical one, which means Will Smith’s Robert Neville could still be in play.

Even juicer? Michael B. Jordan is reportedly circling a major role, with original writer Akiva Goldsman returning to pen the script.
