2Rare and Amerie are bringing a nostalgic classic into a brand-new era.

The Philadelphia-bred rapper has released the official music video for his latest single, ‘Buss Down (1 Thing),’ featuring the R&B star.

The track puts a fresh spin on Amerie’s 2005 smash ‘1 Thing,’ with the singer contributing all-new vocals to the collaboration. Produced by Hitmaka, the record blends 2Rare’s melodic trap sound with the unmistakable energy of Amerie’s original hit.

Directed by BAHSPOV, the clip matched the track’s vibrant energy while connecting two generations of artists.

The collaboration follows a series of behind-the-scenes teasers that sparked excitement online ahead of its release. For 2Rare, the moment is particularly full circle. The rapper revealed that ‘1Thing’ came out when he was just five years old and that he grew up hearing Amerie through his mother.
