Faith Evans has been dealt a mammoth financial blow in the ongoing legal battle over The Notorious B.I.G.‘s estate.

For, a judge has ordered the R&B singer to release a staggering $12.5 million in withheld earnings to a trust established by the late rapper’s mother, Voletta Wallace.

And with interest, the figure is expected to climb to almost $14 million.

The October 27 ruling marks a major victory for Biggie’s former manager, Wayne Barrow, who oversees Voletta’s trust following her death in February 2025.

As previously reported, Barrow won an August court battle establishing the trust’s entitlement to proceeds from the rapper’s lucrative catalog partnership with Primary Wave.

Now, the Delaware Court of Chancery has determined exactly how much must be released.

Per the latest ruling, the trust is owed $12,518,336, plus interest.

Evans had sought to limit the payout to just $48,612, arguing that the trust was not formally admitted into Notorious B.I.G. LLC until December 2025.

However, the judge rejected that position, ruling that its entitlement to the earnings began upon Voletta’s death.

The decision is another setback for Evans, although the money represents estate distributions rather than a newly imposed personal damages award.

Meanwhile, a separate family feud continues.

Biggie and Faith’s son, CJ Wallace, is challenging changes to his grandmother’s estate plan, alleging she was pressured into removing him as a trustee shortly before her death.

Barrow denies those allegations, which remain unresolved.
