For, a Los Angeles judge has rejected the Oscar winner’s bid to restore equal physical custody of their 13-year-old son, Maceo.

And the ruling comes with another blow: Berry will not be permitted overnight visits with her son under the current arrangement.

According to TMZ, Martinez will retain primary physical custody following the contentious legal proceedings.

His attorney, Patrick Baghdaserians, celebrated the decision as a “huge victory” for his client.

However, Berry secured a significant win of her own.

The judge dissolved the domestic violence restraining order obtained against Berry after Martinez accused the actress of physically abusing their son.

Berry has vehemently denied those allegations.

Furthermore, her representative confirmed that she retains joint legal custody and holds tie-breaking authority when the former couple cannot agree on major decisions.

The ruling follows weeks of courtroom drama, during which Maceo testified behind closed doors.

As previously reported, the dispute escalated earlier this month when Martinez obtained a temporary restraining order against the actress.

The latest developments add another chapter to a long-running legal struggle that saw Berry seek sole legal custody back in 2024.

While the restraining order has now been lifted, the existing physical custody arrangement remains in place pending further proceedings.
