Nevada’s family says the 3-year-old soccer standout was simply playing when the dispute unfolded at a Florida youth league.

The audio from a 911 phone call involving a youth league sports director and the mom of a 3-year-old soccer player in Florida has been revealed.

Thomas Hayes who called authorities in Winter Park over the weekend, told dispatch that an “unruly parent” was following him around and calling him names.

“I just have an unruly parent here calling me on Instagram or whatever she’s doing, trying to make me look bad,” Henry told the dispatcher. He described the mother as “really, really disruptive, following me around and calling me names in front of this whole bunch of people,” adding, “So I want her to be gone. I am the director that’s here.”

After describing the parent as a Black woman wearing pink, Henry then attempted to expedite the officer’s presence to the situation.

“Can you have someone quickly get here? They’re about to leave within ten minutes, so this needs to be like a rush,” he said. “I just want her off the property immediately, please.”

The incident unfolded shortly after the woman’s son, 3-year-old Nevada, was playing against 5-year-old players and routinely scoring. According to Phil Lewis of the Huffington Post, Nevada trains three hours a day with his father and has built up a sizeable following on social media for his skills. Per his mother, Martasia, the young prodigy is “traumatized” by the debacle and is preparing to join the youth soccer training program of former professional player Eddie Johnson in January.

“Now that this situation happened, he’s just gonna take [Nevada] under his wing because he has the proper program for him,” she said.

Nevada and his family left of their own accord and received a refund for Nevada’s league registration. In body cam footage, Martasia can be seen asking officers what they did wrong because they weren’t interacting with other parents or escalating things with them. She pointed out that she noticed a group of grown men and women in a huddle discussing her son.

“He’s done nothing but play soccer,” she told the officers.
