Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are offering a glimpse into the love and family values behind their enduring marriage.

In a new cover interview for Vogue Italia‘s November 2026 issue, the couple opened up about their 16-year marriage, revealing how their childhood experiences have shaped the way they raise their children.

During the conversation, Beatz shared:

“We never fought, we never raised our voices, and if we have different opinions, we talk about it as adults, at dinner.”

The producer explained that both he and Keys grew up around parents who shouted, motivating them to create a more peaceful environment for their own children. The couple, who married in 2010, share sons Egypt, 16 and Genesis, 11.

The pair also make a conscious effort to prioritise their relationship, scheduling a romantic date once a month despite their demanding careers.

Their partnership is now extending into the studio with ‘Lovers Rose,’ their forthcoming first collaborative album. The seven-track project blends R&B with Chicano soul and Latin musical influences.

Describing the music, Keys says:

“It’s not the typical “New York sound”. There is a sense of peace, of warmth, a vibration that allows you to relax and disconnect from the chaos of a world that scares us, Lovers Rose is an invitation to let your nervous system breathe.”
