Drake is pushing back against allegations that he lifted the chorus of ‘Janice STFU.’

The Rap superstar’s representative has rejected a songwriter’s claims after a new lawsuit placed the song’s authorship under scrutiny.

Producer and songwriter Aviel Calev Hirschfield alleges that he sent a demo containing the disputed hook to producers connected to the Canadian hitmaker in January.

He claims the released recording subsequently used his work without the credit or compensation he believes he is owed.

According to TMZ, Drake’s representative responded:

“These allegations are categorically, unequivocally, and completely denied.”

The statement also rejects the suggestion that Drake knowingly used the songwriter’s material, characterizing the action as an effort to capitalize on his profile.

Hirschfield is seeking compensation and songwriting credit. His allegations remain disputed, and the filing itself does not establish that infringement occurred.

The track appears on ‘Iceman,’ released in May alongside ‘Habibti’ and ‘Maid of Honour’.

At the center of the case is a specific question: whether the released chorus uses protected work from Hirschfield’s demo. Drake’s camp has made its position clear, but that dispute remains unresolved.
