As part of Olivia Rodrigo‘s history-making third studio album, ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,’ the original iteration of the fan-favorite ‘Expectations‘ had already made a notable splash on the Billboard Hot 100 with its #20 debut and peak.

Now, with a Chappell Roan-assisted remix in tow, Rodrigo seems poised to turbo charge the tune’s chart trajectory to rival that of the LP’s preceding singles ‘Drop Dead‘ (#1 peak), ‘Stupid Song‘ (#3 peak), and ‘The Cure‘ (#5 peak).

The amply teased revamp, produced by Liv’s longtime collaborator Daniel Nigro, is not only being supported by an official music video that dropped Thursday (October 15) but also physical editions at retail including CDs, limited-edition 7-inch vinyl, cassettes, and more.

“I’m not kissing any girl that is passive / Their indecision is painfully unattractive / Past mistakes are just new information / These days, I’ve got expectations,” wails Roan on the remix.
