Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to join the sequel to ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’ titled ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth.’

Abdul-Mateen II joins stars Brad Pitt, Elizabeth Debicki, and Scott Caan in the eagerly anticipated film.

It’s believed that the ‘Candyman’ actor will play a character similar to late NFL Hall of Famer and actor Jim Brown.

The follow-up is set to be penned by Quentin Tarantino, but he’s not going to be in the director’s chair this go around. For, David Fincher has been tapped to direct.

This is due to Fincher’s exclusive deal with Netflix and the fact that Tarantino doesn’t direct films that go straight to streaming.

Abdul-Mateen II recently wrapped up Elegance Bratton’s ‘By Any Means.’ He also worked on Netflix series ‘Man on Fire’ and Disney+’s Marvel series, ‘Wonder Man.’

Suffice it to say, Abdul-Mateen II is booked and busy.
