Lil Durk has encountered a fresh setback behind bars, just days before a potentially pivotal court hearing.
For, the Chicago rapper has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles.
And the development comes as he prepares to make a renewed bid for freedom on November 4, backed by support from Hip-Hop heavyweights Jay-Z and J. Cole.

According to TMZ, Durk was moved to the facility’s Special Housing Unit on Friday, October 30.
Jose Rojas, a union secretary representing Bureau of Prisons employees, confirmed the move to the outlet.
Sources allege that the GRAMMY-winning rapper’s cell had been subjected to repeated searches, despite authorities finding no contraband since his September acquittal.
When Durk reportedly questioned the deputy warden about the searches, he was allegedly accused of “talking back” and subsequently transferred to solitary confinement.
The Bureau of Prisons declined to address the specific circumstances, stating:
“For privacy, safety, and security reasons we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody.”
The timing is especially notable.
As reported, Jay-Z and J. Cole recently submitted letters to the court urging a judge to grant Durk pretrial release.
The appeal follows the rapper’s not-guilty verdict in his September murder-for-hire trial.
However, the 34-year-old remains in federal custody as he faces separate racketeering-related and firearms charges. His next trial is currently scheduled for August 2027.
All eyes now turn to Wednesday’s bond hearing, when a judge will consider whether Durk can await that trial outside prison.
