Pop powerhouses Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan are joining forces!

The chart-topping stars have officially announced a remix of Rodrigo’s hit song ‘expectations’ featuring Roan.

And the musical link-up, which marks another milestone for the pair, is arriving sooner than many may have expected.

Set for release on October 16, the refreshed version of ‘expectations’ will mark Roan’s first officially billed guest feature.

Produced by the duo’s longtime collaborator Daniel Nigro, the track will arrive alongside an official music video starring both singers, directed by Bardia Zeinali.

The remix will also receive a physical release, with limited-edition 7-inch vinyl, CDs, and cassettes on the way.

Of course, the collaboration is a natural next step for the Pop favorites, who have long shared a creative connection. Roan previously supported Rodrigo on her ‘GUTS World Tour’ and contributed background vocals to several of her songs.

More recently, the ‘Pink Pony Club’ performer joined the lineup for Rodrigo’s ‘Daisy Chain Fields’ festival in August, which raised $20 million for organizations supporting women and girls.

The remix also looks poised to extend the winning streak of Rodrigo’s third album, ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’, which rocketed to #1 on the Billboard 200 with a colossal 485,000 first-week units.

And with the singer’s ‘Unraveled Tour’ already underway, the Pop momentum shows no signs of slowing.
