Sophia Laforteza officially has a return window.

After months away from KATSEYE, the singer’s comeback has been confirmed by HYBE x Geffen. However, EYEKONS hoping to see her on the remaining ‘WILDWORLD Tour’ dates will have to wait a little longer.

The announcement also arrives as questions persist about bandmate Manon Bannerman’s ongoing absence.

In an October 8 update, HxG confirmed that Sophia will resume group activities in the first week of January 2027.

The news follows her August hiatus announcement and subsequent confirmation that she would miss the entire UK and European tour leg.

Sharing the latest on her schedule, the company wrote:

“Hello,

We are happy to share that Sophia will resume group activities with KATSEYE beginning the first week of January 2027.”

Addressing the remainder of this year, the statement continued:

“Sophia has been prioritizing her health and well-being with our full support and resources.

While Sophia will not be participating in THE WILDWORLD TOUR in North America, or promotional activities for the remainder of this year, we look forward to welcoming her back as KATSEYE continues this next chapter together in 2027.”

HxG concluded:

We are incredibly grateful to EYEKONS for the continued love, support, and understanding you’ve shown Sophia and KATSEYE.

Thank you for standing by her, and we look forward to celebrating her return with you in the new year.

Thank you.

What About Manon?

That question remains unanswered by this announcement.

Manon has been absent since February, when her health and well-being were cited as the reason for her break. She subsequently assured fans that she was “healthy” and “okay,” while acknowledging circumstances beyond her control.

More recently, Daniela Avanzini said she missed her bandmate during a fan interaction in Paris. The group also previously sent love to both absent members on ‘The Tonight Show.’

For now, Sophia’s return has a timeline. Clarity on Manon’s next chapter is still pending.
