FKA Twigs has dropped her latest lawsuit against Shia LaBeouf after securing a significant victory in their long-running legal dispute.

The actor has agreed to void a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that had restricted the singer from publicly discussing the alleged sexual abuse she says she experienced during their relationship.

Twigs’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, confirmed the development, declaring:

“Twigs stood up for something larger than herself, female survivors of sexual abuse.”

The singer, born Tahliah Barnett, first sued LaBeouf in 2020, accusing him of months of “physical, sexual, and mental abuse.”

After years of delays, the former couple reached an out-of-court settlement in July 2025, ahead of a scheduled jury trial.

However, their legal battle was far from over.

Twigs challenged a confidentiality clause in that settlement, which Rosengart branded an “unlawful NDA.”

The latest filing alleged that the agreement had allowed LaBeouf to avoid “a public and embarrassing jury trial and potentially enormous damages.”

Her legal team argued that the clause violated California’s STAND Act, which restricts agreements that silence survivors of sexual assault.

LaBeouf’s attorney, Shawn Holley, disputed the claims, maintaining that the settlement followed months of mediation and that Barnett had experienced legal counsel throughout.

The renewed dispute followed a December 2025 arbitration demand from LaBeouf, who accused his former partner of breaching their agreement after she told The Hollywood Reporter she didn’t “feel safe” following their relationship.

That arbitration has since been dismissed.

With LaBeouf now agreeing to void the disputed NDA, Twigs has withdrawn her latest lawsuit, which sought no financial compensation.

The resolution means the singer is free to speak publicly about her experiences and advocate for other survivors without the restrictions of the former agreement.
