‘The Running Man’ is set to sprint onto the screen and the film, which stars Glen Powell and Colman Domingo is set to be an adrenaline-fueled ride.

The dystopian film follows Ben Richards (Powell), who participates in a deadly game show where ‘runner’ contestants must evade being killed by professional assassins for 30 days. If they do, they win a giant cash prize at the end. Richards signs up because he’s desperate to save his sick daughter. During the competition, he becomes an unexpected fan favorite and a threat to the system.

The ensemble cast includes Josh Brolin, Jayme Lawson, Lee Pace, Katy O’Brian, William H. Macy, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, and Michael Cera.

Directed by  Edgar Wright, the flick is based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel of the same name, and a remake of the original 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ star dished on how he connected with Schwarzenegger and got his blessing. He says:

“Arnold gave us his blessing. [His son] Patrick Schwarzenegger is a great friend of mine and I asked Patrick if I could talk to Arnold, and I hadn’t seen Arnold since we shot [The Expendables 3] in Bulgaria…Arnold gave us his full blessing and we get to give Arnold a very specific fun gift from the movie in a couple of weeks here. So I’m very excited to see him.”

‘The Running Man’ premieres in theaters on November 7.
