Shortly after news of the tragedy broke, rumors began circulating online suggesting that the ‘Fly Away‘ singer was among those travelling on the aircraft.

However, Kravitz representative Carleen Donovan has firmly dismissed the claims.

Speaking to Variety, she described the reports as “untrue and incorrect,” confirming that the music was not on board.

Much of the speculation stemmed from a viral screenshot allegedly showing pilot Emily Shelton announcing that she would be flying Kravitz from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas.

Shelton has since clarified that she was neither piloting the aircraft nor serving as its co-pilot, urging social media users to stop circulating misinformation and show consideration for those affected by the tragedy.

The identities of those on board have not yet been officially confirmed; the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
