Rick Ross is giving his legal team their flowers following a significant development in his domestic violence case.

For, the Rap mogul has publicly praised his attorneys after prosecutors dropped the felony battery by strangulation charge he was facing.

And while the case is far from over, Ross is celebrating the latest turn in his legal battle.

As reported, Florida prosecutors declined to pursue the felony charge against the 50-year-old, citing insufficient evidence.

The original misdemeanor battery charge was also dropped, with prosecutors instead proceeding on a single count of misdemeanor domestic violence battery.

Ross, who has pleaded not guilty, took to Instagram Stories to applaud his lawyers, particularly lead attorney Steve Sadow.

“I have to send this out to the number one attorney in the game, Steve Sadow. I want to thank you for being who you are, what you are, and always bringing the truth to light.”

He also praised Sadow as a close friend before shouting out fellow attorney Bradley Horenstein, whom he credited with having his “boots on the ground” and “connecting all the dots.”

The legal dispute stems from allegations made by Ross’ on-and-off girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick.

As previously covered, the model accused the rapper of physically assaulting her during an August confrontation at his Miami home. She subsequently shared images of an injured lip.

Ross has consistently denied the allegations, with Horenstein previously describing them as “fabrications.”

Although the felony charge has been dropped, the remaining misdemeanor case is still active, with the rapper continuing to maintain his innocence.
