Jill Scott‘s ‘To Whom This May Concern World Tour’ will no longer conclude with its planned South African concerts.
Promoter Showtime Management has canceled both dates, citing “unforeseen circumstances.”
Full story below…
Scott had been scheduled to perform at Pretoria’s SunBet Arena on November 7 before closing the trek at Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on November 11.
Ticketmaster now lists both shows as canceled. Buyers are set to receive automatic refunds to their original payment method, with processing expected to take between five and ten business days.
No replacement dates have been announced. However, the promoter said Scott and her team are exploring the possibility of returning to South Africa in the future.
The canceled concerts were part of the expansive itinerary announced by the R&B veteran in March. The run has traveled through the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom in support of her sixth studio album.
‘To Whom This May Concern’ marked Scott’s first full-length release in more than a decade and extended her 25-year run of top-ten projects on Billboard’s R&B albums chart.
At present, neither Scott nor her representatives have disclosed any further reason for the cancelations.
