It’s been nearly 20 years since Chris Brown landed his first Billboard Hot 100 hit with ‘Run It,‘ but the R&B bad boy is still running some serious numbers on the all-genre hitlist.
His latest smash ‘Residuals‘ serves as shining proof.
Already a milestone hit for Brown on Billboard’s R&B charts, the history-making ‘Residuals’ is staying put on Pop charts over a year after arriving to digital shelves (April 11, 2024).
Found at #50 on the updated edition of Hot 100, the slow jam – housed on the deluxe edition of the singer’s latest album ‘11:11‘ – has racked up a whopping 31 weeks on the tally as of time reported.
Among all Brown’s unaccompanied hits, only ‘Under the Influence‘ (41 weeks), ‘Run It‘ (38 weeks), and ‘Forever‘ (33 weeks) have spent more time on the Pop hitlist. When all of his songs are considered, however, the Young Thug-assisted ‘Go Crazy‘ remains his longest-charting smash with 52 frames to its credit.
‘Residuals’ is undoubtedly one of many Chris classics his fans (affectionately called #TeamBreezy) will be expecting to see him perform on his forthcoming world tour titled the ‘Breezy Bowl.’
