Biles said the house carried years of good and bad memories and helped shape her into “a real adult.”

Simone Biles has won more Olympic medals than most athletes attempt. A real estate listing is what got her.

The 29-year-old filmed a TikTok on the day her Houston-area home went on the market, and the video captures her struggling to explain her own reaction. “Why the f— am I boohoo crying?” she says through tears, acknowledging she hadn’t anticipated feeling anything about a building.

She eventually landed on why. “I was here for six years, and I feel like there were just so many good memories, so many bad memories,” Biles said. “But I feel like I grew up in this house. It’s made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it.”

That six-year window covers an extraordinary stretch of her life, spanning the Tokyo Olympic Games and everything that followed, her withdrawal and the public conversation about athlete mental health, her return to competition, and her wedding. Whatever she was processing during those years, she was processing inside those walls.

The clip shows her moving through empty rooms and past the backyard pool, furniture already gone. She closed with a wish for whoever came next, hoping the house brings them the joy it brought her.

It did not stay available long. Biles wrote in her caption that it sold within four days, adding that she had planned to set out air fresheners for prospective buyers and show her husband one last look, but cried instead.

Public records fill in the rest. According to the Houston Business Journal, the 3,998-square-foot property went under contract five days after its Sept. 26 listing and closed Oct. 15, selling somewhere between $1.08 million and $1.24 million per the Houston Association of Realtors.

Commenters wanted to know why she was selling at all, prompting Biles to clarify that this is not the custom home she and Jonathan Owens recently completed. That project took considerably longer. Design work began in 2020 and consumed more than a year, followed by a wait on HOA approvals before construction broke ground in February 2022. The build finished on Nov. 11, 2025, nearly three years later.

Speaking with PEOPLE in May 2025, Biles described the process as collaborative, saying she and Owens had managed a good partnership on what they wanted the house to look like. She has since shared glimpses of the finished result, including pool days and the dining area beneath a substantial chandelier.

The couple met on Raya in March 2020, got engaged in February 2022 and married in April 2023. Owens plays safety for the Indianapolis Colts.
