50 Cent Cast as Balrog in New ‘Street Fighter’ Film

50 Cent is gearing up to put on the boxing gloves and throw down literally. For, i’s been announced that he’s the latest addition to join the cast of ‘Street Fighter.’

The ‘P.I.M.P’ MC will portray Balrog, a disgraced boxer turned bodyguard for the video game’s villain M. Bison. It’s said that he’s currently undergoing intense physical therapy and plans to perform his own stunts for the film.

The upcoming flick has a diverse and all-star cast that includes: Jason Momoa (Blanka), Noah Centineo (Ken Masters), Roman Reigns (Akuma), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Callina Liang (Chun-Li), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Cody Rhodes (Guile), Orville Peck (Vega), Andrew Schulz (Dan Hibiki), Hirooki Goto (E. Honda), and Vidyut Jammwal (Dhalsim).

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the project marks the first ‘Street Fighter’ adaptation since the 1994 cult classic starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, Ming-Na Wen, and Kylie Minogue.

Production of the film begins in August in Australia, and is gunning for a 2026 release. Plot details are still under wraps.

No stranger to the screen, 50’s credits include ‘Power’ and ‘Den of Thieves.’
