Halle Berry is facing a fresh financial demand from ex-husband Olivier Martinez as their bitter custody battle takes another dramatic turn.

Just days after the Oscar winner lost her bid to restore equal physical custody of their 13-year-old son, Maceo, Martinez is asking a judge to make her pay a whopping $240,000 in legal fees.

And the French actor’s explanation for the hefty request is raising eyebrows, with the star claiming he receives just $776 a month in residuals.

According to TMZ, Martinez says his mounting legal expenses have become unaffordable.

In newly filed court documents, the 60-year-old breaks down his $240,000 request:

• $176,522.58 in outstanding attorney fees.
• $63,477.42 for anticipated legal expenses.

Martinez also reports monthly expenses of $17,555.99, despite averaging just $776.34 in monthly residual income. He lists approximately $43,206 across his financial accounts.

The latest filing follows a consequential ruling on October 29.

As previously reported, a judge allowed Martinez to retain primary physical custody of Maceo while declining to restore Berry’s previous 50/50 arrangement.

However, the court also dissolved a temporary domestic violence restraining order against the actress.

Berry has firmly denied Martinez’s allegations of physical abuse.

The former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2023, are expected to revisit custody arrangements in November.

As for the $240,000 demand, a judge has yet to rule on whether Berry must pay.
