Usher has been cooking up fresh heat in the studio!

The R&B superstar has surprised with a preview of his own remix of Drake and Loe Shimmy’s hit ‘I’m Spent.’

And with the crooner putting his unmistakable spin on the track, could a long-awaited collaboration finally be on the cards?

Full story below…

During an Instagram Live session on November 2, the eight-time GRAMMY winner played a snippet of the reworked song, seemingly titled ‘U Spent.’

Adding his signature smooth vocals to the cut, Mr. Raymond playfully flexed his hitmaking credentials, singing:

“Got so many hits I damn near almost forget.”

Clearly feeling the result, he declared:

“Somebody needs to call Loe Shimmy and Drake!”

The original track, lifted from Drake’s ‘HABIBTI’ album, peaked at #34 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Shimmy’s first Top 40 hit.

Interestingly, a musical link-up between Usher and Drizzy has been brewing for over a decade.

Indeed, That Grape Juice reported back in 2014 that the pair had been working on a deeply personal duet. However, an official release never materialized.

Now, 12 years later, the prospect has resurfaced.

The tease comes as Usher continues his blockbuster ‘R&B Tour’ with Chris Brown, which resumes in Atlanta on November 5.

There’s no confirmed release date for the remix just yet.
