Per Page Six, the 44-year-old is expected to step away when this season concludes.

One insider described her pending exit as “definite,” while another suggested it’s “likely that it will not go on.”

The decision appears to be tied to the changing climate of daytime television.

Indeed, one source noted the show “is a lot to put on, and looking at the landscape across daytime television, it’s not sustainable anymore.”

Separately, the American Idol alum has been navigating personal hurdles following the death of Brandon Blackstock, her ex-husband and father of her children River Rose, 11, and Remy Alexander, 9.

Word is that Today Show favorite Hoda Kotb may be lined up as a replacement for the slot.

Reps for Clarkson and her talk show reportedly declined to comment.
