The Oscar-nominated actress is set to make her Broadway debut in a new revival of August Wilson‘s ‘Joe Turner’s ‘Come and Gone,’ opening Spring 2026.

Henson won’t be alone on stage; she’ll be joined by Cedric the Entertainer, a six-time NAACP Image Award winner, who’s making his return to the theater world for the first time since 2008.

Adding even more star power, the production will be directed by the legendary Debbie Allen, promising a revival that’s sure to make waves on the Great White Way.

This move to Broadway isn’t unfamiliar territory for Henson. A proud Howard University alum, she studied theater there, laying the foundation we see today.

Now, she’s coming full circle back to her stage roots, but this time under the bright lights of Broadway.
