SZA reportedly nearing Coachella 2027 booking alongside Dua Lipa and Tame Impala

TMZ says the three acts are close to joining next year’s festival, but organizers have not announced the official lineup.

SZA could be headed back to the desert! The Grammy-winning singer is reportedly close to securing a spot at Coachella 2027, joining Dua Lipa and Tame Impala among the artists rumored to perform at next year’s festival.

According to TMZ, sources familiar with the negotiations say all three acts are nearing agreements, although festival organizers have yet to confirm any bookings or announce the official lineup.

The potential appearance would mark another Coachella moment for SZA, who performed at the festival in 2018 and brought out Kendrick Lamar during her set. The two artists have since shared even bigger stages, including the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show and their Grand National Tour.

SZA also made a surprise appearance at Coachella in April 2026, joining Justin Bieber for a performance of her hit song “Snooze.”

While her place on the 2027 bill remains unclear, music industry publication HITS Daily Double previously reported that Dua Lipa and Tame Impala were being considered for headlining slots, with SZA in contention for another prominent position.

Dua Lipa has yet to perform a full solo set at Coachella, although she appeared as a guest during Martin Garrix’s 2017 performance. Tame Impala, the psychedelic music project led by Kevin Parker, previously headlined the festival in 2019.

TMZ also reported that organizers approached BTS and Rage Against the Machine about performing in 2027, but both groups reportedly declined.

Coachella 2027 is scheduled for April 9–11 and April 16–18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year’s festival featured Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G as headliners.

For now, fans hoping to see SZA return to the Coachella stage will have to wait for the festival’s official lineup announcement.
