With ‘Bel-Air’ taking its finale bow, Will Smith – the central engine behind the hit series – made a surprise appearance in the concluding episode of the Peacock show.

In the series finale, Smith appears alongside lead Jabari Banks (who plays Will), capping off an incredible four-season arc for the show.

Based on a viral short helmed by Morgan Cooper, ‘Bel-Air’ reimagined the beloved ’90s sitcom, ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ as a darker, grittier offering. The likes of Coco Jones, Olly Sholotan, Adran Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, and Jimmy Akinbola also starred.

Speaking on Smith’s surprise showing and the end of the show, Banks said:

“His cameo in Bel-Air feels like a truly poetic return, and I’m beyond excited for fans – not only of our show, Bel-Air, but of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – to experience it and feel that full-circle moment for themselves.”

He continued, saying:
