Spotify continues its evolution, officially bringing music videos to subscribers, marking a major expansion of the feature.

Beta tested internationally over the course of the year, the eagerly awaited feature will be arriving to premium-tier customers in the U.S. and Canada.

The media juggernaut confirmed the move in a new blog post, positioning video as a natural extension of how fans experience music today.

In the announcement, Spotify highlighted the cultural impact of visuals, noting that music videos have long shaped style, sparked conversation, and fueled fandom.

The initial U.S. catalog features acts including the likes of Ariana Grande, with the platform promising rapid growth in the coming months.

The company explained that listeners can now tap “Switch to video” while playing supported tracks on TV, desktop or mobile devices.

Spotify’s Head of Music, Charlie Hellman, praised the launch, stating:

“Music videos are often the moment when an artist’s world really clicks for a listener… we’re bringing a richer discovery experience to fans, and providing additional revenue for publishers and songwriters.”

The streamer also revealed plans to expand access across the Caribbean, Africa, and South America.
