Rapper Bun B has so much to be thankful for and at the top of the list is his wife Angela “Queenie” Walls now being cancer-free. The Texas native took to social media to share the good news while also sharing her journey from diagnosis to recovery.

“She’s been my best friend, wife, partner, lover, business partner and more. But today, she’s my hero,” he wrote. “Last June my wife Queenie went in for her yearly checkup and was told she had stage 2 breast cancer.”

The 52-year-old then shared that his longtime love received care within the Methodist System, following their primary care physician’s advice. Walls started chemotherapy in July and completed treatment in December.

“She fought like a champ for our family and for herself,” Bun B continued, praising his wife. “No self doubt or pity. She stood tall on faith and fought through pain, poison, exhaustion, neuro>more than 20 years of marriage, it’s beautiful to see these love birds honor their vows and stand by one another in sickness and health. The couple has been married since 2003 and celebrated 20 years in 2023. They share two children, whom Walls had in a previous relationship, and have also been promoted to grandparent status.

In the celebratory post, the “Underground King” also thanked doctors for their “hard work” and “bedside manners,” which helped keep his wife calm and safe. He also thanked friends and family for the prayers and support before encouraging others to get regular check-ups.

“I implore everyone to please get your health checked yearly and consistently because in cases of cancer and other illnesses early detection can be the difference between life and death,” he added. “Now let’s give it up one time for a cancer free Queenie!”

This is a happy ending for the couple who are fan favorites when it comes to celeb love stories. Bun B has always praised his wife and expressed the utmost respect for her standing in the paint with him when he had nothing. In a 2010 interview, the rapper gushed over her loyalty and reserved nature.

“I met my wife when I wasn’t necessarily making a lot of money, and my wife is not a big fan of fame. I didn’t marry someone who craves the spotlight. Almost every time my wife comes somewhere it’s an argument, because she wants to stay home and I just want her to see some of these nicer things I get to experience. We take first-class flights, stay in five-star hotels, stay in big suites and walk red carpets, see famous people and take all of these pictures… and my wife’s not really about all of that kind of stuff,” he shared.

Congratulations to Queenie on beating cancer and we wish her many years of good health.
