Justin Timberlake is looking back at one of his more… rhythmic creative choices with a healthy dose of humor.

A viral clip revisiting the Pop star’s penchant for beatboxing during his NSYNC heyday found its way to JT himself, and he couldn’t resist joining in on the joke.

Creator Hannah Young sparked the throwback moment with a video playfully questioning just how enthusiastically Timberlake embraced the art of vocal percussion in the 2000s.

The 45-year-old promptly popped into the comments with an “apology” of sorts:

“I don’t know how to apologize enough… Too many boots. Too many cats… Also, I can’t promise I won’t do it again.”

Ha!

The moment harkens back to Timberlake’s NSYNC days, with his beatboxing famously featuring on the group’s 2001 bop ‘Pop’ and regularly sprinkled into their live performances.

Indeed, when the reunited group appeared on ‘Hot Ones’ in 2023, JT branded the habit “slightly regrettable,” while bandmate Lance Bass countered that it was “iconic.”

And with Timberlake reportedly plotting a new album and world tour for 2027, perhaps that warning about a beatboxing comeback shouldn’t be taken too lightly.
