Ice Cube and Kevin Hart could be gearing up to hit the streets again.

The fan-favorite duo are reportedly circling a return for ‘Ride Along 3,’ which is said to be in early development at Universal Pictures.

After years of stalled ideas, momentum appears to be building thanks to a fresh script from writer Daniel Gold.

According to Deadline, his pitch, which remains tightly under wraps, is said to have finally aligned the core team and sparked renewed excitement about bringing the franchise back to the big screen.

The original ‘Ride Along’ debuted in 2014 and quickly became a box office hit, with its sequel arriving two years later. Together, the films grossed nearly $280 million globally, cementing their place as a reliable Action-Comedy draw.

While plot details for the third installment are still unknown, the long gap since ‘Ride Along 2’ could work in its favor, especially as nostalgia-driven sequels continue to perform well with audiences.
