Charrisse Jackson-Jordan is opening up about the private pain behind her son’s battle with cancer.
The ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ alum joined Tamron Hall alongside her son, Jackson Jordan, for an emotional conversation about his colorectal cancer diagnosis at just 27.
And while the family has already shared the encouraging news of his recovery, their latest interview offers a deeply personal look at what they endured behind closed doors.
Full story below…
During the latest ‘Tamron Hall’ episode, mother and son revisited the frightening ordeal that turned their lives upside down.
Jackson discussed why remaining strong for his mother was so important to him throughout treatment.
Meanwhile, Charrisse opened up about emotions she struggled to put into words, sharing a personal video that captured what she was feeling during the difficult period.
The candid sit-down follows the family’s initial revelation last month.
As reported, Jackson began experiencing blood in his stool and changes in his bowel habits in fall 2025. Fear initially prevented him from seeking medical attention.
After his sister Skylar raised the alarm, doctors discovered a tumor in his colon.
Jackson subsequently underwent two months of radiation and four months of chemotherapy. Thankfully, September scans showed no evidence of disease. He continues to undergo regular monitoring.

Also joining the Tamron Hall discussion was Jackson’s oncologist, Dr. Phillip Reid, who addressed the concerning rise in colorectal cancer among younger adults.
The physician stressed the importance of recognizing warning signs and seeking medical attention for persistent symptoms, regardless of age.
For Charrisse and Jackson, it’s clear that sharing their experience is about much more than revisiting a painful chapter. Kudos to them both for spotlighting such an important health issue.
