Gabourey Sidibe had a bone to pick with Raven-Symoné and didn’t hesitate to address it face-to-face.

For, the Oscar-nominated actress confronted the former Disney star over what she perceived as years of cold treatment, including an alleged effort to discourage others from befriending her.

And the candid exchange saw Raven admit to past jealousy.

The unexpected moment unfolded during Sidibe’s appearance on Raven and wife Miranda Maday‘s ‘Tea Time’ podcast.

While discussing Hollywood’s treatment of plus-size stars, Raven acknowledged feeling envious of the embrace Gabourey received following her breakout performance in ‘Precious.’

That admission prompted Sidibe to address something that had seemingly been weighing on her for years.

She said:

“I didn’t think you liked me.”

When Raven questioned why, Gabourey replied:

“Because you treated me like you didn’t like me.”

The actress recalled an uncomfortable encounter at a Chicago restaurant and alleged that she’d heard Raven had discouraged people from becoming friends with her.

Raven denied the latter allegation, insisting she simply hadn’t known Sidibe well at the time.

Miranda, meanwhile, acknowledged that her wife could sometimes appear cold or dismissive, but pushed back on the suggestion that she would actively sabotage another person’s friendships.

The two ultimately cleared the air, bringing a surprisingly warm conclusion to the awkward conversation.
