Mannywellz has joined forces with fellow R&B sensation Odeal for a fresh take on his soulful offering ‘Cry On You.’

Originally housed on the Nigerian-American singer’s ‘Small Chops’ EP, the heartfelt cut receives a new lease on life with the addition of the British-Nigerian star.

And the collaboration is already receiving a warm welcome across major streaming platforms.

Released today (October 23) via Vydia, the reimagined ‘Cry On You’ sees two of R&B’s distinctive emerging voices unite for a melodic musical moment.

Rooted in vulnerability and emotional honesty, the song explores the notion of being someone’s safe space, offering comfort through life’s highs and lows.

The original arrived in June as part of ‘Small Chops,’ which also featured Mannywellz’s Wale-assisted ‘How It Feels.’

Odeal, meanwhile, has been carving out quite the lane of his own, following releases such as ‘The Summer That Saved Me’ and his Wizkid collaboration ‘Nights In The Sun.’

The new pairing is off to a promising start, too.

The cut has secured prominent playlist placements across Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, including the top spot on the latter’s Buttah UK playlist and Apple Music’s Day One.

With both artists bringing their own flavors to the mix, this one’s tailor-made for lovers of contemporary Afro-R&B.
