HBO has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming Earth, Wind & Fire documentary, directed by none other than Questlove.

The Roots member-directed film will chronicle the origins of the legendary GRAMMY Award-winning band, their rise to global fame, and the lasting cultural impact of their music.

The documentary features interviews with ‘September’ hitmakers Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Ralph Johnson, alongside appearances from former President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, H.E.R., Flea, and more.

Ahead of its HBO premiere, the film will debut at the 25th Tribeca Festival on June 3 at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. The screening will also feature a live performance from the ‘Let’s Groove’ group alongside The Roots.

‘Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial vs. That’s The Weight Of The World)’ premieres on June 7 from 9 PM to 11 PM EST on HBO before becoming available to stream on HBO Max.
