Paris Jackson is demanding a smaller cut for the man managing her father Michael Jackson’s estate.

The singer wants John Branca’s compensation rate reduced amid a dispute over financial disclosures. The estate rejects her allegations, and both sides are doubling down.

According to Deadline, Paris’s lawyers argue that Branca failed to provide complete accountings for 2023 and 2024 despite a court-ordered timetable.

Her challenge also questions disclosures supporting approximately $109 million in combined compensation involving the estate’s co-executors and a law firm.

She seeks a reduction from 15% to 10% of gross entertainment-related income. That would cut the percentage rate by one-third.

Responding Wednesday (October 28), the estate maintained that the executors waived executor compensation and instead receive a separate, court-ordered management fee for running Michael’s business.

It also said the 2023 and 2024 accountings had been filed, while later accountings were not yet due.

Paris’s representative then clarified to Deadline:

“Enough of the smoke and mirrors — Paris is asking to reduce the management fee.”

Her team maintains that the earlier submissions were incomplete. The dispute therefore concerns the adequacy of the disclosures, as well as the compensation itself.

A hearing is scheduled for December 4. Paris’s requested reduction has not been granted in the report reviewed.
