‘Man’s Best Friend’: Sabrina Carpenter Becomes 4th Woman in Hot 100 History to Chart 12 Songs in the Top 40 Concurrently [Chart Check]

Sabrina Carpenter‘s latest album, ‘Man’s Best Friend,’ may have debuted atop this week’s Billboard 200 with the highest opening numbers of any woman this year, but the LP’s success is certainly not limited to the album chart.

Look inside to see the historic strides it’s making on the singles side of the tracks.

Just a day after rocking the 2025 MTV VMAs with the first televised performance of the latest ‘Friend’ single ‘Tears,’ Carpenter learned the John Ryan-produced cut had the highest debut of any new song printed on the Hot 100 this week.

Here are the numbers that powered its #3 placement.

  • Streams = 26.3 million U.S.-based streams
  • Radio airplay = 11.9 million audience impressions
  • Sales = 2,000 digital downloads

Her fifth top 10 hit overall, ‘Tears’ led the brigade of ‘Friend’ tracks planted on the updated Hot 100.  Here are where all 12 songs from the critically acclaimed LP landed.

  • No. 3, “Tears”
  • No. 4, “Manchild” (up from No. 7; peaked at No. 1)
  • No. 12, “Nobody’s Son”
  • No. 15, “My Man on Willpower”
  • No. 17, “When Did You Get So Hot?”
  • No. 20, “Sugar Talking”
  • No. 24, “Go Go Juice”
  • No. 27, “House Tour”
  • No. 30, “Never Getting Laid”
  • No. 31, “We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night”
  • No. 33, “Goodbye”
  • No. 39, “Don’t Worry I’ll Make You Worry”

Thanks to the impressive debuts above (all within the chart’s top two quadrants), Sabrina joins SZA, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift as the only women to have 12 songs simultaneously printed in the Hot 100’s top 40 since the chart began in 1958.

Carpenter’s cumulative Hot 100 entries now sits at 31.

Look below to see who joins her in the updated TGJ Chart Check.
