An SXSW panel took an unexpected turn when Keke Palmer was confronted with a moment no one in the room saw coming.

The actress was onstage promoting her new film ‘I Love Boosters’ when a man in the audience suddenly approached the stage and got down on one knee in a surprise proposal.

According to footage obtained by TMZ, the unidentified man rose from the front row, walked to the edge of the stage, and dropped to one knee while asking Palmer to marry him.

The moment left the room stunned. The 31-year-old star appeared visibly shocked, while her ‘I Love Boosters’ co-stars Demi Moore, Naomi Ackie, and Eiza González also looked caught off guard.

Keeping her composure, Palmer handled the situation with calm humor.

“I can’t marry you… I don’t know you!”

Despite the rejection, the man remained kneeling for several moments as security slowly moved in. Eventually, he was escorted away from the area, bringing the uncomfortable exchange to an end.

Ever the professional, Palmer native continued the panel afterward, seemingly brushing off the bizarre interruption.
