Jamie Foxx has shone a light on his two daughters, Corinne and Anelise, in recent years through comedy specials, TV shows and documenting his recovery from a serious medical episode. Now he’s about to try on his dad hat for the third time.
According to PEOPLE, the 58-year-old Academy Award winner and his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, have welcomed a bundle of joy into the world. TMZ first reported the couple was expecting a child back in May, and despite a brief split earlier this year, they have been going strong since they were first linked in 2022.
In a conversation with Jimmy Kimmel on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” earlier this year, Foxx revealed that he was perfectly OK with being an older dad, thanks to a famous one-time co-star.
“I wasn’t on the fence about it, but you know, being 58, you know what I’m saying?” Foxx said at the time. “I wasn’t on the fence, but I did run into Al Pacino. So if I was ever on the fence, I wasn’t on the fence when I talked to him.”
Pacino and Foxx starred in 1999’s “Any Given Sunday,” as an embattled head football coach and a once-forgotten football player turned star. Pacino, 84, is the father of a three-year-old son, Roman.
The “Ray” actor also told Kimmel that he expects to be active for at least another few years before things change. “If I’m 58, in 12 years, I’ll be 70,” Foxx said. “Just put a blanket over my thighs and give me some tapioca pudding.”
Foxx is the latest celeb or major figure to welcome new life into the world. CNN host Abby Phillip, who was absent during the network’s recent election coverage, gave birth to her second child on October 27.
