Ayesha Curry to become leading lady with upcoming holiday rom-com for Roku

The former child actor-turned-entrepreneur and wife of future NBA Hall of Famer Steph Curry is set to be No. 1 on the call sheet for the first time with her upcoming rom-com.

Ayesha Curry has already worn many hats in her life, from mother to entrepreneur, author to successful businesswoman. Now she’s set to take on an entirely different role: leading lady in a film.

Curry is set to star in “Second Chance Holiday,” a Christmas romance movie that will stream on the Roku Channel beginning next month. In the film, Curry portrays a dating expert who is looking to break her “curse” of seemingly losing a relationship around every holiday season. However, fate reunites her with her high school flame, prompting her to wonder whether her bad luck is less about her and more about her running back to the man who made her heart flutter most.

For Curry, this isn’t her first foray into acting.

Before she became a famous entrepreneur and the wife of a future NBA Hall of Famer in Steph Curry, she pursued acting, starring in small roles on shows such as “Hannah Montana” with Miley Cyrus, “Gary Unmarried,” and “Good Luck Charlie.” In recent years, she appeared in “A Black Lady Sketch Show” and Netflix’s “Irish Wish” in 2024 opposite Lindsay Lohan and “Joy To The World.”
