Go Project Hope says donations generated through the popular streamer’s broadcast will fund its school and soup kitchen in Gaza for five weeks.

IShowSpeed may be known for his high-energy livestreams and viral antics, but his latest broadcast helped make a meaningful difference for children and families in Gaza.

The popular YouTube personality helped raise $9,000 for a school and soup kitchen serving Palestinians in Gaza, prompting children benefiting from the programs to publicly thank him.

In a video shared online Wednesday, Nov. 4, dozens of children gathered inside a large tent, smiling and waving while holding a handmade sign that read, “Thank you IShowSpeed for supporting our School and Kitchen.”

According to Complex, the fundraising effort benefited Go Project Hope, a U.S.-based nonprofit that works alongside Gaza Soup Kitchen to provide meals and educational opportunities for families in North Gaza’s Jabaliya refugee camp.

The organization credited Speed’s livestream with introducing its work to thousands of potential donors.

“Because of Speed’s livestream, we were able to raise $9,000 for our lifesaving programs in Gaza,” the nonprofit wrote in a social media post.

Go Project Hope also said the money raised would keep its school and soup kitchen operating for the next five weeks. The organization emphasized that 100% of donations go toward its programs in Gaza.

The effort adds to Speed’s previous support for Palestinian relief. In June 2024, the streamer, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., reportedly donated $50,000 to Palestinian relief efforts, representing half of his $100,000 winnings from a Wipeout challenge featuring KSI and MrBeast.

The latest fundraiser is another example of how digital creators can use their enormous audiences to bring attention and resources to humanitarian causes.

For the children in Gaza, however, the impact is more immediate: continued access to meals and a place to learn.
