The Memphis rapper co-founded GloVerse to help users find hairstylists, makeup artists and other beauty professionals in one place.

GloRilla is expanding beyond music with the launch of the GloVerse beauty platform, a service built to connect consumers with beauty professionals. The Memphis rapper, who has been teasing her second album and recently joined Kirk Franklin on “This Time,” said the idea came from a problem she faced early in her career.

“When I first blew up, I was having problems finding glam professionals,” GloRilla told ESSENCE. She said the issue continued until she established her regular glam team. She said meeting talented beauty professionals who struggled to get noticed also made her think the platform could help.

GloRilla co-founded GloVerse with Georgii Speakman, founder and CEO of strategic venture consultancy OUT.LI.ER. The beauty marketplace is meant to help consumers find hairstylists, makeup artists and other beauty professionals in one place. GloRilla said the name partly comes from her own name and the idea of users stepping into her world to “find your glow.”

Beauty professionals, called GloPros on the platform, can create profiles and set up a GloID during the beta period. Speakman said the GloID gives professionals a profile they can share through social media, websites and other online pages. An Apple Wallet feature is also being developed.

The GloVerse beauty platform remains in beta, with the full mobile app expected to launch in December 2026 on iOS and Google Play.

Users will be able to enter details such as hair type and face shape to narrow their search. They can also choose whether to travel to a beauty professional or have that person come to them.

GloRilla launched GloVerse in Atlanta and said she hopes the platform reaches every major city soon.

For now, she has no specific plans to launch beauty products of her own. She did not rule out pursuing other beauty projects later.
