There’s a new name to add to your R&B playlist, and she’s bringing plenty of soul with her.

Meet India Blue, the London singer-songwriter stepping into the spotlight in the latest instalment of That Grape Juice’s Freshly Squeezed.

Having already showcased her talents on collaborations with the likes of FloFilz, Josef Akin, and Jianbo, the rising star is inviting listeners to discover more of her own musical world.

And new single ‘Hold Me Close’, featuring rapper Hilts, makes for quite the introduction.

Full story below…

Built around delicate piano chords and India’s soulful vocals, the atmospheric R&B cut tells a familiar tale of love and longing, but with an interesting twist.

While one lover is left regretting the romance he sacrificed for ambition, the other has discovered that moving on can be its own victory.

Explaining the inspiration behind the track, India shared:

“‘Hold Me Close’ was born from the feelings of longing for someone’s love, while watching them choose their own path and ambitions.”

There’s a quiet confidence to the song, which lets its understated production and heartfelt storytelling do much of the talking.

And there’s more on the horizon.

India is gearing up to release her self-produced EP, ‘Only Attempt In Dark’, on November 18. Crafted largely around synths and her voice, the project promises a deeper dive into the sound she’s been steadily carving out.

For those partial to the soulful stylings of Cleo Sol and SAULT, India Blue may well be another name worth getting acquainted with.
