Remy Ma is stepping back onto screens with a new role that places her at the center of a chilling family mystery.

The Rap veteran leads Lifetime‘s upcoming thriller ‘Don’t Trust The Girls Upstairs’, a suspense-filled drama based on the novel ‘My Sister’s Daughter’ by Liv Constantine.

And if the newly released trailer is any indication, viewers should prepare for plenty of twists, tension, and unanswered questions.

In the film, Remy stars as Ashley Preston, a woman whose life is thrown into turmoil following the sudden death of her estranged sister.

Determined to do the right thing, Ashley and her husband welcome her orphaned teenage niece Serena into their home. However, what begins as an act of compassion soon spirals into something far more unsettling.

As a string of disturbing incidents unfold and rattle the household, Ashley finds herself questioning everyone around her. Is Serena struggling with grief and acting out? Or could Ashley’s daughter Luna, who has a troubled history of her own, be hiding a dangerous secret?

With tensions rising and trust quickly evaporating, Ashley races to uncover the truth before the situation turns deadly.

The film also stars Arielle Prepetit, Nathan Witte, Aliyah Marc, and Sasha Rojen.

‘Don’t Trust The Girls Upstairs’ premieres June 20 on Lifetime.
