Druski is headed to ‘Saturday Night Live’ for his hosting debut

The comedian and internet personality will host the Nov. 7 episode with The Strokes as musical guest.

“Saturday Night Live” has announced its next three hosts for Season 52, with comedian and internet personality Druski set to make his debut on the iconic NBC sketch-comedy show on November 7.

According to Deadline, Druski will host the episode alongside musical guest The Strokes as he prepares for the December premiere of his Netflix comedy series, Collect and Praise. The announcement places the comedian among a lineup that also includes actor Inde Navarrette and comedian John Mulaney.

Druski, known for his comedy sketches and viral characters, will take the “SNL” stage for the first time on November 7. The Strokes will make their fifth appearance as musical guests on the show while promoting their latest album, “Reality Awaits,” and touring. The episode follows the October 31 Halloween show, hosted by Navarrette, who stars in “Obsession.” Gracie Abrams is scheduled to perform as the musical guest.

John Mulaney will close out the three-week run on November 14, marking his seventh time hosting the program. The comedian and actor is currently starring in Prime Video’s “Madden” and performing across the country on his “Mister Whatever” stand-up tour. Phoebe Bridgers will appear as the musical guest. The upcoming episodes follow criticism of Shane Gillis’ October 10 opening monologue, which included a joke about women’s gym clothing that drew backlash for its misogynistic language.

The controversy has renewed attention on the show’s comedic choices and the reactions they generate among viewers. The new hosting lineup brings a mix of stand-up comedy, acting and music to the next three broadcasts. For Black comedy audiences, the appearance also offers a chance to see Druski bring his distinctive style to a live network television format.
