Drake just got vulnerable. His father is fighting cancer.

The 39-year-old rapper released his long-awaited album Iceman on Friday, May 15. He also dropped two surprise albums, Habibti and Maid Of Honour.

On the opening track “Make Them Cry,” Drake shared his father’s health battle. He did not disclose the type of cancer.

“My dad got cancer right now, we battlin’ stages,” he raps. “Trust me when I say there’s plenty things that I’d rather be facin’.”

Dennis Graham, 71, posted a heartfelt photo on Instagram. The image shows him and Drake embracing. “The Ice Man and The Nice Man just doing what we do,” he captioned it.

Fans flooded the comments with prayers. “Get well soon ,” one wrote. “Sending love and prayers your way,” said another.

Dennis is a former drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis. He returned to music in 2016. On Father’s Day 2021, he released “Father and Son,” a song about his bond with Drake.

On the same track, Drake also opens up about aging and fake fans. “I’m ’bout to turn 40, dog, I’m battlin’ agin’,” he raps.
