Diddy Files Conviction Appeal As White House DENIES Report Trump Is Considering Pardoning the Mogul Next Week

Diddy‘s legal team is springing to action just two weeks after the embattled mogul was sentenced to four years in prison on conviction of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act.

Trump reveals Diddy asked for a pardon

Shortly after the 55-year-old (born Sean Combs) was convicted in the federal case, his legal team took to press to announce plans to mount an appeal.

Keeping their word, legal docs filed in a New York federal court on Monday (October 20) reveal they have done just that.

The news comes the same day reports began circulating a “reliable source” said President Trump was considering commuting the music mogul’s 50-month sentence as early as next week.

That rumor was quickly debunked, however, after a White House spokesperson took to press to shut it down.

‘There is zero truth to the ‘TMZ’ report, which we would’ve gladly explained had they reached out before running their fake news,” a rep told ‘Daily Mail.’ “The president, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations.”

Combs previously made headlines for reaching out to the White House for a pardon, but Trump – who has addressed the topic multiple times with the press over the year – has given conflicting responses.

In one briefing he said he would “look into it,” while in another he suggested he would probably not be extending it to the Bad Boy leader.

“Well he was essentially, sort of, half-innocent. I don’t know what they do that he’s still in jail or something. He was celebrating a victory but I guess it wasn’t as good a victory,” the President said speaking to Newsmax in August after saying the pardon is “more likely a no.”
