The Paramount and Legendary release is tracking toward a $31 million domestic opening weekend.

That puts the action flick on course for the #1 spot, although the figure remains a projection ahead of the completed three-day tally.

For Fif, the film sees him trade the microphone for Balrog’s boxing gloves. Ahead of release, the Rap mogul opened up to TGJ about taking on the hard-hitting character.

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the movie brings Capcom’s fighters into a 1993-set showdown, with Ryu and Ken recruited by Chun-Li for the World Warrior Tournament.

Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, and Callina Liang spoke with our own Tavanah Alexis about bringing the iconic trio to life.

There is heart behind the heavy blows, too. Jason Momoa, who plays Blanka, revealed that the experience brought him to tears during our chat at the film’s London launch.

Meanwhile, our own Eric Devontae caught up with 50, Olivier Richters, and Charlotte Flair at the Hollywood premiere. Their conversation served up a dream Hip-Hop fighting roster and Flair’s hopes of joining a potential sequel.

‘Street Fighter’ is in cinemas worldwide now.
