‘Spend Dat‘ hitmaker Yung Miami has been spending most of her time prepping her growing legion of fans for her long-awaited debut album ‘Watch Dis.’
Ahead of the project’s arrival to digital shelves on October 23, Miami (born Caresha Brownlee) has not only unleashed two new singles from its tracklist – ‘F You‘ and ‘2008‘ – but also heavily blazed the promo trail in the LP’s support.
And while the interviews have been loaded with quizzings about the Rap diva’s artistic inspiration, tour plans, and the gargantuan success of ‘Spend,’ she’s also spent quite a bit of time fielding questions about her reportedly strained relationship with former City Girls groupmate JT.
Hop inside to hear Brownlee’s latest address of their highly publicized split.
Months after declaring the two are simply “in different lanes,” Brownlee dropped by SiriusXM Studios in Atlanta for the Pandora Playback event on Monday (October 12).
Between previewing tracks from ‘Watch’ and chatting it up with host/moderator Fly Guy DC, the ‘Tea Time’ hitmaker revealed she’s not spoken to JT in quite some time.
“Her birthday two years ago [was the last time we talked],” Caresha revealed after reflecting on the success of the City Girls’ 2018 breakout hit ‘Act Up’ (as seen in the video above).
Despite the lapse since their last conversation, DC was still curious if there could ever be a personal reconciliation or professional reunion between the ladies.
“Inshallah,” she simply said in response – an Arabic expression that means “God willing.”
The nondescript phrase echoes a statement Miami made while chatting it up with Atlanta’s ‘V-103’ radio station from the same week.
At writing, JT – who is said to be hard-at-work on her own debut solo album reportedly titled ‘Club Cheetah‘ – has not publicly responded to the commentary.
