The announcement came during the network’s fall schedule reveal in Los Angeles, cementing the show’s status as a rare modern success in the daytime drama arena.

Since its 2025 debut, the Michele Val Jean-created series has carved out a unique lane, not only as the first new network soap in decades, but as a culture-shifting entry led by a predominantly Black cast.

Set within a polished Maryland enclave, the show follows the powerful Dupree family, led by standouts like Tamar Tunie and Clifton Davis.

Backed by a continued partnership between CBS and the NAACP, the renewal will keep it on screens through the 2027-2028 broadcast cycle.
