‘Real Housewives of Potomac‘ star Wendy Osefo is facing shocking fraud charges, and the Carroll County Sheriff, James T. DeWees, has unpacked the scale of the allegations in a press conference.

Moments ago, the claims levelled against Wendy and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were laid bare.

They stand accused of falsifying reports of a robbery at their residence to the sum of over $400,000, and claiming jewelry theft that allegedly did not occur.

The Osefos are accused of filing three insurance claims for the same incident:

-Travelers Insurance – $25,380 payout (including $4,500 for Wendy’s diamond anniversary band).

-Homesite Insurance – Claimed $450,000 in property losses and $2,500 in building damage.

-Jewelers Mutual — Separate claim for jewelry theft, with a list of 57 items.

The couple allegedly didn’t disclose to each company that other claims were being filed for the same loss, a major red flag known as insurance fraud through double-dipping.
